Hey y’all! Mrs. Sarah here! I’m one of the OGs of Legworks by Terri. I’ve been teaching for about 15 years and just made 30 years of dancing from the greatest of them all! I wear many hats but my most favorite is “mom” to my two “twin” babies Ella and Lain and my fur baby Ivy. My regular job is a physical therapist at Central Physical Therapy, so if I’m not teaching the dancers, I’m trying to fix the broken ones! I have gotten to experience the most epic adventures with this studio, including Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, Dancin in Disney, and multiple bowl games to name just a few. And to quote Ms. Terri “you don’t stop dancing because you get old, you get old because you stop dancing”! So come dance with me!
My name is Mrs. Courtney and I am a teacher here at Legworks! I started at this studio in middle school, but I have been dancing since I was 3 years old! I am married to my husband, Austin, and together we have a pup named Maverick. I’m a proud LSU Bio and William Carey BR Nursing alum, and currently work in pediatrics full-time. Teaching dance allows me to grow my creativity and keeps me active. When not dancing or working you can find me traveling, exploring new food places, reading, or hanging out with my friends and family. I would love to have you join our studio family!
Hi - I’m Lexi Bartel! I’ve had the privilege of sharing the stage with my Legworks family for 25+ years and have taught/choreographed for 10+ of those years. To me, dance has always been closely connected one of my other great loves - storytelling! It allows us to use our bodies to tell stories - bringing our thoughts, feelings, and imagination into a tangible reality! I also love how it connects people along the way. So whether I’m teaching musical theatre, hip hop, contemporary, tap, or any other genre, it’s an absolute joy to get to share my love of dancing and storytelling with our Legworks family!
I’m Mrs. Makayla, dancer and teacher at Legworks for the past 25 years. I’m also a registered nurse along with being a full time mommy to 2 little girls, Hazel and Lucy! I’m married to my best friend, Jonathan, who supports my love for dance. Mrs. Terri taught my mom dance, me dance, and now she will teach Hazel. So we are now a 3rd generation family over here! I love getting to see all the kids I teach or have taught over the years shine on stage. I can’t wait to have many more years at Legworks, my home away from home!
Hi everyone! I’m Peyton
I’ve been dancing since I was 3 years old and have been part of the Legworks family for as long as I can remember. I started as an assistant in middle school, became a teacher in high school, and practically lived at the studio during college, teaching four nights a week. Those years are some of my favorite memories.
Legworks has opened so many doors for me — I’ve danced at bowl games in California, New Orleans, and Orlando; performed at New Orleans Pelicans pregames; danced at Disney World multiple times; and attended countless dance conventions. But my all-time favorite memories? Summer camps!!
This studio has given me lifelong friendships and shaped who I am today. Now, I’m happily married with two kiddos — Leighton and Hollis — and I work as a family nurse practitioner here in Central. Even with a busy schedule, you’ll still catch me at the studio helping out whenever I can.
I’m so grateful to be part of Legworks, and I can’t wait to meet all of you!
My name is Sydney Wilbert future Mrs. Farmer! I grew up in Baton Rouge and moved to Zachary in 2016. Now I’m currently living in Pride. I graduated from Central Private and I’m a Physical Therapy Tech at Central Physical Therapy. I have been dancing with Legworks since 2004 and started assisting for Ms. Terri when I was in middle school and have been teaching since 2018-I love it! I love all styles of dancing, but my favorite to perform/teach is HipHop and Tap! Thanks to Ms. Terri, I have been a part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC, several half time shows during college bowl games, opened for New Orleans Pelicans games, danced in downtown Baton Rouge Mardi Gras parades, performed several times in Disney World, and performed on the Carnival Cruise. I have traveled to several dance conventions and learned a lot. My mom and dad have supported me my whole dance life and are still working back stage for our dance recitals. What I love the most about Legworks is that it's my home away from home and my happy place. l can't wait to start this new dance year with my old and new kiddos.
Hey, it’s Miss Tiyana! I am an EBR school system educator, head coach for The Bayou Glitter Gators Dance Team, and a dog mom to my “Chanel Marie”. I joined Legworks by Terri in 2011, gaining an amazing dance family! I enjoy dancing, family time, watching movies/shows, and picking up on new hobbies. Above all, I enjoy pouring into the youth; the kids are our future! I believe in setting the youth up for success in any and all areas - teaching them, encouraging them, and celebrating them. It is my hope that as your dancer crosses my path, they build astronomical confidence to go out in the world and be as great as they can be! With all that being said, let’s get dancing!
Hey y'all I'm Miranda! I graduated from St. Michael the Archangel High School in 2023, and I am currently a student at Louisiana State University, pursuing a degree in Animal Science and Technology.
I have been dancing with Legworks since I was 3 years old, but I became an assistant in middle school and have been teaching now for several years. My favorite genre is Contemporary, but I also love hip hop and just about any other style you could think of. Mrs. Terri has given me so many opportunities to perform in some of the most amazing places over the years! Throughout my Time at Legworks, I have danced in Disney World, performed in the Russell Athletic Bowl halftime show in Orlando, participated in a few New Orleans Pelicans Preshow performances, danced on Broadway and in Times Square, attended many conventions, and so much more. Legworks has given me lifelong friends, a family to rely on, and an escape from life outside its doors. I can't wait for what is to come with my Legworks Dance Fam!
Hey y’all! I’m Miss Carley, and I am beyond excited for the upcoming dance year! I’ve been dancing for over 20 years, and it’s truly been one of the greatest adventures of my life. Thanks to dance, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (twice!), at multiple bowl games, and even at Disney!
When I’m not in the studio, I’m an accountant working toward my CPA—so I’m all about balancing numbers and pirouettes! I can’t wait to share my passion for dance with all of you and help make this year unforgettable. Let’s make memories together on the dance floor!
Hey guys, I’m Miss Hailey, and I have been dancing since I was 2. I am currently attending LSU, and I plan to peruse a double major in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. I love teaching and watching all my littles grow into their love of dance. I'm so grateful for what Legworks has done for me over the years, whether it's the trips/experiences I get to be a part of or getting to find a second family here, Legworks has helped shaped me into the person I am today. I can’t wait to see what God has planned for the upcoming years with my Legworks dance family!
Hey y’all!! It’s Lyric! If you don’t know me already, I’m the granddaughter of Ms. Terri and the daughter of Ms. Trinyon! I’ve been dancing since I could walk, and I absolutely love sharing my passion—whether it’s on a big stage or on TV.
My favorite style of dance is Hip Hop, and since moving to California when I was 8, I’ve had so many amazing opportunities to share that love! I’ve been lucky enough to dance with artists like Justin Bieber, perform with the LA Sparkids, in the movie All Styles, serve as a counselor for Camp Pulse, and even work with the legendary Jody Watley.
Thanks to dancing with Legworks, I’ve also gotten to perform at Disney World, on Broadway, in Times Square, in numerous bowl games, and soon… PARIS!!
When I’m not dancing, I’m starting my senior year as Student Body President with a 4.225 GPA! Additionally, I enjoy playing girls' flag football and softball for my school while also serving as president for clubs such as ASL Club and Athletics Club!
Although I’m not physically there throughout the year, I look forward to visiting often and teaching summer camp. I hope this year at Legworks is the best one yet!!
Hey, everyone! My name is Larsyn Laird, and I have been dancing since I was 2 years old. Some of my favorite experiences with Legworks have been dancing on broadway and in Times Square in NYC, as well as dancing on Main Street in Walt Disney World. I look forward to dancing in the San Diego Bowl and in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Legworks has always been more than a dance studio for me; it is my safe place, second home, and most importantly, my family. Dance has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and being able to teach it to others is such a blessing!
Hey y'all! I’m Miss Morgan. I graduated from Denham Springs High School in 2025, and I’m currently attending Southeastern for Nursing! I started dancing at Legworks in 2010! I also started assisting in 2019. My all-time favorite memory from my time at Legworks is the dancing in the Halftime Show of the Russel Athletic Bowl in Orlando in 2016!!
Hey everyone, I’m Sky! I am a student at Denham Springs High School and a Jackette. I’ve been dancing at Legworks since I was 2 years old. With Legworks, I have experienced many different opportunities, including dancing in Disney, Times Square, Broadway in New York, and Pregame performances at Pelicans games. I love interacting with and getting to know my students, and I especially enjoy making them all feel welcomed to our big family!
My name is Gabrielle Summers!
I first started dancing with Legworks at 2 years old. Throughout my time here, I’ve danced in Disney, Pelicans Preshow, and conventions multiple times! I’m a student at Central High School, a member of its dance team, the Kittens, and the theater program! I’m very passionate in the field of dance, especially its choreography and theatrical aspects! I love Legworks and enjoy the strong community it holds!
My name is NovaLeigh Summers, and I have been dancing at Legworks since I was 2 in 2011, and I am still going strong! I am on the Central High School Varsity dance team, the Kittens! I plan to pursue business and, hopefully, be a part of the NBA Dance team PelSquad!!! If not, I will be going into cosmetology school to pursue my love for fashion, hair, makeup, etc. Legworks is and will forever be my home, no matter my age, and I can’t wait to one day share these memories with my children :)
Hey I am Miss Presley! I’ve been dancing at Legworks since I was 3 years old. I attend school at Central High School & I am a dancer on the CHS Kittens dance team. One of my favorite memories with my Legworks family is going on all the fun trips with them. I am so grateful for the growth, friendship, & fun Legworks has given me as a dancer & assistant.
Hi everyone! My name is Emily Donaldson and I have been apart of the Legworks family for 20 years! I started assisting classes in middle school and began teaching my own classes during high school. I am also a recent graduate of Mississippi State University where I studied Veterinary Medical Technology. I am now a licensed Veterinary Technologist in the state of Louisiana, but I am putting that on hold to be apart of the Disney College Program in Orlando, Florida!
Legworks has been a home away from home for as long as I can remember! I will forever be grateful for the opportunities such as bowl game performances, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, dancing in Disney, and traveling all over for conventions! Although I have loved all of these opportunities, my absolute favorite has been assisting and teaching classes! Growing up my teachers were (and still are) my role models! So, no matter what genre I am teaching, I just love being able to watch all of the dancers grow throughout the years and be a part of their journey. I am so glad to finally be back after these past four years and cannot wait to continue sharing my love and passion for dance!
